Questions How do I post a Picture? Why won't decimal points work in the price? I have a problem with the date, why won't it work? Answer: Date has to be enters in this format - 05/25/2005 Instructions: Start by selecting if you are selling an item or searching for an item (want ad). Next select a category from the drop down menu. Then enter today's date in this format 05/23/2005, this is important so we can delete old ads. Now just fill in the rest of the information. Be sure to put something in the headline space, because this will be shown in the listings view. Then add a description about your item, more detail is better if you do not have a picture. For a picture see below. The price is entered as a whole number NO decimal points or $ signs.
Pictures - To post a picture you will have to set up a picture on a website or a picture hosting site and then provide the address to that site or picture in the space next to Picture. Example http:sitename.com or http:sitename.com/images/nameofyourpicture.jpg If you think this sounds hard it's not. There are a lot of free websites or image hosting sites that you can sign up for, just search google.com type in free websites or free image hosting then click search. When you find a site just sign up for their free account. The image hosting site is the easiest. Free image hosting sites: I tried this site http://www.imagehosting.us/index.php and it was very easy. To register for a free site click register. Then enter your email address, a password, and then click register. Now you are ready to select an image to upload, click on browse and a window will pop up that shows your files. Navigate to the folder on your computer where your picture is stored and then select your image and click open. Now click on upload. Keep in mind that the maximum size of your image file has to be 1024 KB or lower, if it is larger you will have to resize it in a picture editing program first. The next page that opens will show your picture and a list of links if done right, if you get an error message the picture is usually to big or is not in the right format. The only allowed extensions are jpeg, jpg, png, gif. Now to Post the picture in our Bulletin Board you will need to select the link labeled Direct Link, you can either write it down or click on copy. Now go to the Enter an Item page in the Bulletin Board and in the space next to Picture right click and select paste or left click once and press on the keyboard Ctrl+v. Once you have a page with a picture on it, go to that page on the web using your sites web address, when the page is loaded in your browser right click on the picture and select properties. In the window that opens it should tell you the web address of your picture. To test it copy the address into your address bar in your browser and hit enter, if it works you will only see a picture. This is the address you want to type in the space next to Picture on the form. I tried this out on http://www.freeservers.com/ note other sites might be a little different but not much.
